She didn’t want to just be a kept woman popping out babies. In the end she became the perfect woman just doing what she was told and nothing more. Of course, the book couldn’t end without us thinking she was pregnant even though she had showed that that isn’t really what she wanted.

Hmm did I miss something along the way? At the end of book 8 it was being said that Delilah was going with him to the New Village because Penelope couldn't. There was no explanation for the change.... Also in book 8 it was said they were making the New Village spears so they could hunt. Now all of sudden they can't hunt because they are human.... They also refused to teach Penelope to hunt but they thought Lana to hunt... so whatever. I guess this is one of the many inconsistency's in this serie Hmm did I miss something along the way? The author really needs someone to proof read her books. It's so sloopy and rude to her readers that she can't keep up when the series or books aren't that big. Sooooo many things change. I tried to ignore it but I got OCD soo I started making a list. lol I'm sure I missed some. *Ingredients in healing potions - it was claws and then it was teeth that were needed for it. *She gets the couples names wrong more than once. *Sverre said in his book that the Bijass was a secret that was kept from the general population and it was mentioned that the other guys didn't know about it and it had to be explained to them. But after his book it seems like everyone knew about it. *They started living in the old epsis tunnels... when before just going in the opening was a cause for concern because of the worm things. Now everyone is tramping around the caves and in the tunnels? *Olivia's baby was a boy named Malcolm in book 7 and in book 8 she has a girl named Zoe. *In book 8 and 9 Drosdan and Bashir were communicating with the Human first peeps/New Tribe. When it clearly said in earlier books and there was so many examples of it... that those people refused to learn the new language. They didn't understand the Zmaj.... But all of sudden they do. *Why did Lana and Astarot seem to just disappear? We see Lana a few times after but they aren't really mentioned again for some reason. Just like those shoes she made for walking on sand. Why aren't the girls wearing those? *The sky was red and now in book 9 Penelope said it was blue. In Visidion's book he says "A Blue sky? Where would such a thing exist?" "I do not know," he says. Besides all that I am enjoying this world she created. Except for a couple of the later books.

A new danger comes from the skies and all inhabitants of the planet must face the danger and take cover. Even though the danger and angst that is faced in this story is not the same as the others in the series, I believe it is a needed story not only so we can have Bashir and Penelope have their HEA but so we can learn more about what is happening on the planet and with the communities that have formed. We find that most of the New Villagers are more open to dealing with the Zmaj but still hold a lot of prejudices against them. We know that the village and the domed city dwellers are getting along really well and have a very strong connection. We also get to see that Rosalind has many plans to unite them all and to not let the New Villagers get the upper hand. Though it does talk about what has happened before in other stories, it is not needed to read them. Ms. Martin provides some context and explanation if needed. I will recommend to read them all since they are all that good. As a lover of paranormal romances, this is a good series to get into. It's all about connections Miranda Martin has blessed us again, Red Planet Dragon fans. Lady General Rosalind of the City, and her mate Visidion of the Tribe, decide to mount a diplomatic mission to the remnants of Gershom's dragon-hating humans who are holed up and slowly starving in some pre-Devastation Zmaj ruins. Time to extend the olive branch and turn old enemies into new allies, right? Penelope and Bashir are tapped for the job, and off they go. Their actual mission experiences mirror their personal journeys - confronting fears and prejudices, building trust, and acknowledging that there comes a point where "help" will do more harm than good. The series plot arc of survival, unity and building a future on Tajss is the backdrop of Penelope's romantic (and sexy!) "homecoming" to the dragon of her dreams, as Bashir's love and patience entice her to embrace the future (and share the hot tub). Five stars for all the brutal, wonderful splendor of Tajss, the clever planning and devious plotting of humans and dragons, and the HEA for H/h. More, Please! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout - lucky me! - and I am delighted to leave this voluntary, independent and uncompensated review.

It just seems like every few stories or so everything gets reinvented, so it is always engaging and something I can look forward to reading. This is the story of Penelope, a human that is bound and determined to never mate or be dependent on anyone after seeing what transpired between her parents. There is one male that captures her attention and she is fighting it with everything she has until Rosalind asks the two of them to travel out to the New Village that the 'human first' humans are trying to settle. Rosalind is hopeful that the two of them will be able to make some headway with the people there, as it is apparent to everyone but them, that everyone needs to stay together if they are to rebuild and repopulate Tajss. I don't want to give away any twists or spoilers, so I am going to stop here. I volunteered to leave a honest review of an ARC from the author and Booksprout. I couldn't resist reading it on KU as well.

3.5 stars. WOW! First book cover with wings, thought they are way too small, and where are the horns and colorful scales?!? These reads are decent if you don't think about them too much. Otherwise you will notice all the growing inconsistencies... like the lizard men didn't sweat and they thought it was a terrible flaw of the humans.... but now.... they sweat too, etc. So much for their scales and heat efficiency, LOL I guess sexy sweating muscles trumps consistency. This couple was interesting, though it bothered me that no one would take a human female seriously as a fighter, saying even the human males can't stand up to this challange..... BUT.... there IS an awesome female hunter!!! Geeze!!! Back to where I was, I liked the different take on this dragon and his touch with the planet and to others. He still has no memory of before and I hope it comes up later and is better explained. He is quite different and interesting if it comes to something. I am still invested enough to see what happens next;)

This book shows us how life the New Village is coming along and who is vying for leadership. Tajss itself is also throwing complications into the mix in the form of meteorite showers which effect the animals and the land as well as some other unknown as of yet things. I believe that this story is a pivotal one as the story is now going in a new direction. I have read and loved this series from the beginning and hope for many more to come. If you have never read these books, I recommend starting with book one.

Dragon's Curse is the first book I've read by Miranda Martin. It is well-written and the characters are well developed and interesting. This is the 9th book in the series. I’m new to the Red Planet Dragon series, but I easily fell into this story. She’s a tough female who is afraid of losing her independence. But one alien dragon man keeps her on her toes. She just can’t stop thinking about him. His people mate for life. He has waited for the right female. Too bad she won’t let him in. A romantic sci-fi story that will definitely have you cheering on the male. I’ll definitely be going back and reading more of this series.
